Burglary Near You - ROOK LANE

Dear Resident

You are receiving this because you live in the vicinity of a burglary that occurred on Friday 6th March between 1700hrs and into the 7th at approx 1100hrs. The method of attack was forcing the door and allowing entry. 

DWELLING CURRENTLY BEING RENOVATED IS BROKEN INTO BY FORCING THE FRONT DOOR. ONCE INSIDE A BOILER IS REMOVED AND WATER LEFT RUNNING. TOOLS ARE STOLEN THAT BELONG TO THE WORKMEN AND OFFENDERS HAVE MADE OFF UNSEEN.

Firstly if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera please check it between Friday 6th March between 1700hrs and into the 7th at approx 1100hrs to check if you had any activations. 

Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock. 

Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police.
